Jimani


Jimaní is a provincial capital of the Dominican Republic on Hispaniola with over 5000 inhabitants (another 5000 in the catchment area). It is located in the southwest of the country on the border with Haiti and near the lake Enriquillo. The province of Independencia was founded in 1952 by the separation from the province of Baoruco.
