Church on Blood


The Church on Blood in honor of all Saints, resplendent in the Russian Land (in Russian: Храм-на-Крови во имя Всех святых, в земле Российской просиявших) is a church built in Ekaterinburg, Russia. It belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church and commemorates the canonization of the Románov in 1981. It was built between 2000 and 2003 at the site where Ipátiev House was located, in the basement of which Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his family were killed. p>

The Church on the Blood covers 2,760 m². It comprises two churches, a bell tower, a patriarchal annex and a museum dedicated to the Russian imperial family. The main church was consecrated by the patriarch of Moscow and all the Russias, Alejo II, on June 16, 2003.
