Río Urdón

The river Urdón is a river located in the autonomous community of Cantabria (Spain), in the municipalities of Tresviso and Peñarrubia. Its channel passes through a narrow throat populated by a forest of lime and oak, elms, ash and beech. This river course receives the waters of several smaller rivers and streams from the Eastern Massif of the Picos de Europa and in turn is tributary of the river Deva.

The Hydropower Plant of the Salto de Urdón, in Urdón, built by Hidroeléctrica Ibérica at the beginning of the 20th century and which since 1913 passed by Electra de Viesgo.
