Lemon Tree Hotel Company was established in 2002 by a first generation Indian entrepreneur named Pattu Keshwani. The first Lemon Tree Hotel was opened in Vihar, Gurgaon in 2004. Red Fox Hotel was promoted in 2006 and the first Red Fox Hotel was opened in Jaipur in 2009. In the year 2012, Red Fox Hotel was merged with Lemon Tree Hotels. Ptu has done an MBA in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi, B.Tech and IIM Kolkata. He was conferred with a special alumnus award from IIT Delhi in 2011 and was awarded the same award in 2012 by IIM Kolkata. Pattu worked for 15 years in Tata Administrative Services, where he performed his role as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Taj Business Hotel. Ratan Oberoi was an alumnus of the training and development center of the Center and started his career with Oberoi Mumbai in 1983. For the last 31 years, Rattan has been working in many roles in India and abroad. He has been the Executive Vice President of GM and Mumbai Oberoi Hotel for many Marquee Oberoi hotels. In his previous role, before joining Lemon Tree Hotels, he was responsible for the conduct of Trident Hotel Chairman (part of the Oberoi Group) and operating 13 hotels across India. Ratan is a highly respected person in the Indian hotel industry, who gave Lemon Tree Hotels many years of experience, to manage high performance teams from many tasks.
